Role Summary:

We are seeking an A&R Manager to help identify, sign, and develop the next wave of cutting-edge talent. Youโ€™ll play a key role in shaping the creative direction of our roster and collaborating with both new and existing artists. This is a hands-on, artist-first role where youโ€™ll work closely with our team to guide talent from discovery through to release, promotion, and career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Discover and sign emerging artists across the UK.

  • Manage and develop existing artists under the Ultrascope Music Group roster.

  • Provide creative guidance throughout the songwriting, production, and release process.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, and producers.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (distribution, publishing, marketing, sync).

  • Stay ahead of music trends and contribute to scouting strategies.

  • Support project rollout strategies and artist development initiatives.

  • Attend live shows, showcases, and digital events (in-person or virtually).

Requirements:

Creative & Strategic Thinking


  • A strong ear for new sounds and talent in any genre.

  • Able to evaluate and develop artist potential beyond streaming numbers.

  • Understanding of creative direction, audience development, and long-term planning.


Relationship Building:


  • Proven experience working with artists or in a music-facing role.

  • Existing network of artists, producers, or managers in the music industry scene.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.


Industry Knowledge


  • A working understanding of the UK music landscape.

  • Comfortable engaging with both creative and business aspects of artist development.

  • Awareness of music distribution, publishing, and sync is a must.
